A question about Visual Neo's roadmap and competition

Hi David,

I'm a software developer and have heavily relied on Neobook and it's plugins to create my software. Since I've heard of the agreement you struck with Neobook's owners to continue developing and marketing VisualNeo Win/Web, I've had a burning question which constantly held me back from investing further and purchasing VisualNeo's solutions.

It's no secret that you are also the owner and creator of DecSoft's AppBuilder which directly competes with VisualNeo Web. From a consumer solutions perspective, this is a direct conflict of interest which makes me extremely reluctant to buy VisualNeo Web when you are also the owner and developer of AppBuilder. It only makes sense that you will put all your resources in developing and growing your own solution, so then what assurances do we as formal clients of NeoSoftware have that you will continue with VisualNeo's Web roadmap ? Or in other words, why would I buy VisualNeo's Web solution when AppBuilder exists ?

If you were to tell me that you plan to merge both VisualNeo Web and Appbuilder and integrate them together, then I would definitely invest in VisualNeo Web, but having two almost identical solutions, where one is yours, and the other is not, then I would not invest in VisualNeo Web because I have no a guarantees that you will continue to develop and expand VisualNeo Web when your solution (DecSoft's AppBuilder) is still around.

I hope you don't take this the wrong way and I'm not trying to criticize you at all. I'm just trying to understand your business model because if I were to invest in VisualNeo Web today, what assurances will we developers have that you won't kill VisualNeo Web next year or the year after. I hope you see the point I'm making.

These are my concern and I'm sure several other developers share the same concerns too. As such, I'd really appreciate it if you could share your thoughts on this matter so we can know whether VisualNeo Web has a future or not.

Best regards,

TAN Software

Hello,

>It's no secret that you are also the owner and creator of DecSoft's AppBuilder ...

Where do you get such Information?

David and Luis are not the same Person. They are both from Spain and live in the same town.

But thats it.

Luis had posted his plans for VisualNeo Web. So read that and think about and decide yourself.

Regards

Hans-Peter

Sorry, I can't stop laughing...
I knew Internet was plenty of missinformation and conspiranoic theories, but never thought I would be part of one 🙂

Seriously, where do you get that information?

My name is Luis Hernández Peña, these are my LinkedIn and Instagram personal profiles (nice to meet you 🙂 and I develop my professional career here in SinLios Soluciones Digitales.

It's not a secret DecSoft AppBuilder was "inspired" by NeoSoft VisualNEO Web beta version (previously known as NeoAppBuilder), but they are different software solutions from different vendors.

In fact we are very close to release the next VisualNEO Web version as you can read here.

Some of our software products are developed using VisualNEO Win & Web, so for us is very important keeping them alive and as updated as possible.

Please let me know if you have any aditional question and don't forget to explain us where did you get such information 🙂

Best regards.

Hi Luis,

My sincere apologies for the misconception. For some reason I thought David was the owner of both solutions. Thank you for the clarification. There is a huge Canadian NeoBook community and this question keeps coming up every time we meet to discuss the future of NeoBook and VisualNeo Win/Web as well as look at other alternatives in the market since we were not entirely clear who owned / developed what.

Now I understand that David Esperalta is the owner of DecSoft's AppBuilder who coincidentally also develops VisualNeo Plugins, and VisualNeo is being developed by you, Luis Hernández Peña.

Again, I meant no disrespect, I just wanted to clear that confusion up. I'll make sure the community knows that both solutions (AppBuilder & VisualNeo Web) are two separate products being developed by two different people.

Thanks again and looking forward to your VisualNeo Web update.

Best regards,

TAN Software

Don't worry. I just found it funny 🙂
