First Steps With VisualNEO Win

I understand that VisualNEO Win is sort of a "legacy" project that refuses to be replaced by VisualNEO Web and a little while back I got a license which won't help it go away.

I haven't done anything with it so far, but today I got some plugins and am now going to see what it can do for me!

To get myself started, I think I might try to remake my VisualNEO Web Script Examine utility in VisualNEO Win.

@susan although shomehow outdated, VisualNEO Win is still a very capable, powerful and easy to use tool.
I think you will be surprised. Even more if you try any of the modern plugins.
Let us know what you think :)

First impressions after literally only 5 minutes with VisualNEO Win.

The Good

Using NeoProDB with a SQLite database worked on my first attempt.

Not So Good

Disappointed that I cannot resize the pop-up windows where scripts are entered for actions.
Surprised that quotations need to put around variable names.

Coming from VisualNEO Web, where I usually just put variable names without quotes (and it is smart enough to know what I mean) this feels like a step backwards.

@susan thank you for your feeback!

Note that there is a button (upper-right) to edit the scripts in a new much bigger window

Yes, in VisualNEO Win that's necessary.

It's! VisualNEO Win (previosly NeoBook) is an old software. Most people do the opposite path: form Win to Web LOL

Thank you for pointing that out, that is very good to know and use. Who knows how long it might have taken for me to find? I will now carefully go through all the toolbars and menus to make sure that I don't miss anything else!
