Thank you for asking, and for still being interested in VisualNEO Web.
The project has not been discontinued, but I have to be honest: active development has slowed down a lot during the last mosths, mainly because my available time has been focused on other projects and client work.
That said, I still care about VisualNEO Web and I know there are users who continue to build useful things with it. I have been thinking about what a realistic next step could be: perhaps not a huge "everything new" release, but a more focused update that improves stability, compatibility, documentation, and some key areas that still matter today.
I cannot promise dates right now, but messages like yours definitely help me see that there is still interest in the project.
So, discontinued? No.
Forgotten? Also no.
Ready to announce something impressive today? Not yet, but I am listening. :)

Quote from Joerg on July 4, 2026, 10:06 amHi everyone,
I think the decision to focus primarily on performance, stability, and bug fixes is absolutely the right one. Of course, in today's fast-paced world, everyone expects frequent updates. But as we see with many other software projects, such updates often involve nothing more than minor tweaks or cosmetic changes designed simply to get more money out of users. VisualNeoWeb hasn't changed much in terms of usability over the years, but it has gained many useful enhancements. That's fantastic and makes things so much easier.
I also appreciate the generous policy allowing the software to be used on more than one computer. I think, that anyone seriously writing programs uses two or more machines to be more flexible and of course for backups. I also like the fact that there's no subscription model and the price is affordable. Aside from the somewhat clunky scripting language (sometimes I get lost in square brackets :-D), I think there's not much comparable like it out there right now.
I'm currently working on a project that will take me weeks or months. And to be honest, I don't even know if anything will ever come out of it. I'm not getting any younger, after all... But the longer I work on it, the more I enjoy it. So, to come back to the thread title, for me it's a definite "GO". Just sharing my humble opinion :-)
Best regards!
Joerg
