Linux Virtual Machine

Can VisualNeo Web run and be registered to work in a VM? I plan to move to Linux but want be able to still use VisualNeo.

@neal-stone Very probably VisualNEO Web can be run in a virtual machine (VM) as it does not explicitly depend on any hardware restrictions that would prevent its functionality within a VM. However, you must ensure the VM's operating system supports VisualNEO Web, as it primarily runs on Windows systems. If you plan to move to Linux, here are your options:

  1. Running VisualNEO Web in a Windows VM: You can create a VM on your Linux system and install Windows in it. Applications like VirtualBox or VMware Workstation Player are suitable for setting up a Windows environment within Linux.
  2. Using Wine for Linux: Wine is a compatibility layer that allows Windows applications to run on Linux. Performance and compatibility may vary, so testing will be required.
  3. License Transfer and Registration: If you move VisualNEO Web to a new environment, including a VM, you may need to reactivate the license. Just ask us for a new one providing the SystemID as usual.

Please let us know if you succeed.
Thank you!

I plan to use a Windows VM.  VisualNeo will run under wine but the file turn black once opened so can see anything I want to work on.  VisualNeo Win seems to run ok though.

I rarely get the black page and it always disappears after I click on another page. You may need some advice from @luishp.

Grazie mille
