New Project: Lite Forum – Awaiting CodeCanyon Approval (Want to test it?) - Forum - VisualNEO. Cross-platform App Development Tool for Windows

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share something exciting with the VisualNEO community. I have just submitted a new project called Lite Forum to CodeCanyon and it is currently under review waiting for approval.

Although this application is not built using VisualNEO, it follows a very similar philosophy: lightweight, efficient, easy to install and modify — and I would truly love to hear your feedback and impressions.

What is Lite Forum?

Lite Forum is a modern PHP-based forum system that can be installed simply by uploading it to a server — no WordPress, no large frameworks, no heavy dependencies. Just pure PHP + SQLite or MySQL.

If you know how our VisualNEO Support Forum works, the workflow will feel familiar. The difference is that Lite Forum doesn’t rely on WordPress or external CMS platforms. Everything is built in, self-contained, fast and customizable.

Very nice! I love it! I actually bought another forum script last month and recently finished modifying it, but yours is going in my toolbox now too!

Hello again..

I had a question. You have a built in a subscription system to charge end users , wonderful! This could be useful to support customers for software updates that have a maintenance plan.

What payment types are supported with the subscription system, specifically is there PayPal support built in?

Also, does the editor support code tags for posts?

Just to clarify — LiteForum does not include SaaS or subscription-based billing features. Could you please tell me where you read that? I’d like to correct it if there’s information circulating that might lead to confusion.

Regarding your questions:

Payment/subscription system → Not included.
Code tags are supported.

Yes, anyone that needs a quick forum that's easy to install, this is a nice and fast solution, great job!

I have no plans to replace the current forum (yet) as this one is integrated into WordPress.
