Pin to Taskbar

I've noticed that my compiled programs cannot be pinned to the taskbar like most other programs by right clicking on them on the taskbar itself. I have found a long way around to doing it by creating a shortcut on the desktop, running it with explorer.exe and whatnot. But this is not at all practical to expect of any user.

Does anybody have a better way or may I make this a suggestion for a future feature?

Thanks.

I'm running Win7 64bit and i can pin my compiled programs to taskbar by dragging it on the taskbar. or right click and choose "Pin To Taskbar" option. I don't know about Win8-10, but it works fine on Win7

I guess it must be a Windows 10 thing. I've tried it on several versions of Windows but maybe not 7. I've also found variations of 10 that present or function differently on different branded computers as well, so there's that.

Still, a basic feature I think could be addressed in future.

Ok, well, I have discovered that with Windows 10, a desktop shortcut can be pinned to the taskbar. But, if  you run your program, say, from the PubDir, it can not.
