Storing rtf in database

I am developing an event booking app.

Different organizations use different 'Terms and Conditions'.

I would like the individual organization to change the RTF file contents or possibly each event would store the 'Terms and Conditions' as they were at the time of booking.

How can I accomplish this?

Surprised there have been no responses.

My solution maybe creating a screen shot of the formatted mydoc.rtf and use a picture field to insert in the Report Designer file to include a "Terms and Conditions" section in a contract.

If you want to get an answer to your question, then formulate the question as clear as possible for everyone.

Hello,

>Surprised there have been no Responses.

This forum is relativ new and has not yet a large userbase. So be patient.

However your question is not very precise.

What do you want to do exactly? Whatcmeans database? Using database plugin? Which?

In a user Event look for a newer Version of the rtf-file online?

If newer then download it?

You can make a Version text file on your Server and get it with command "InternetGet".

Then compare Version-string/number with your present Version.

When newer download the new rtf with command "DownloadFile".

See the doc for Details of the commands:

  • Encode your RTF file.
  • Save them into a memo field.
  • When select the memo field, decode the data stored into.
  • Show the RTF as usual.
