It doesn't matter what size your project or program is... if your default printer settings on your computer is set to print on A4, then the size of your program window is the size of a A4 paper. If you type a sentence to half of your program window and you print the page, then it will print a A4 paper with a sentence that's half the paper. I made a demo and hope this will help you understand. I think there is much easier ways or plug-ins that will work better.

@jofemar efectivamente cuaquier resolución puede imprimirse en A4. A veces tiende a confundirse la resolución (píxeles) con la densidad de píxeles de una imagen (píxeles por pulgada o ppp).
