App Made With neoEdge Triggers Threat Warning In Windows Defender

A simple browser that I made to learn more about the npEdge plugin is not liked by Windows Defender. Clearly a false positive and since right now I am only making utilities with VisualNEO Win/VisualNEO Web for my own use it is not a problem.

But it makes me a little nervous about what a customer's experience may be if (or when) I make an app for distribution that relies on an VisualNEO Win executable?

@susan

You need to report a false positive to support and give the file for analysis. I had similar problems with other antiviruses and contacting support always helped.

Actually all moden anti-virus programs will mark new or unfamiliar EXE files as "undesired."

Better safe than sorry...

When you compile with VisualNEO Win don't check the "Compress application EXE with UPX."

(The widely-used UPX layer is sometimes flagged as malware obfuscation).
