asMenuBar - red border

The asmenubar plugin works very well.

But sometimes I randomly get a red border. Is there a way to prevent it?

I have the same issue. We already discussed this before, after some tests I though it is gone, but in one of my latest's tests the red borders are back again.

If you have time, could you look into this as the plugin is otherwise great.

Yes, a red border is built in to the asMenuBar plugin. Too bad it wasn't neutral gray. The red color saturation actually cycles through when you click the menu again and again (like an LSD circus). But I'm still going to use it, so I added some more red borders here and there to my pub objects to balance the theme.
