Commands like DateToNum and NumToDate can accomplish the countdown from/to dates (year, month, day).

Similarly, you can write a subroutine that can convert seconds (24 * 60 * 60 down to zero).

Use a Timer object to with an Interval of 1 second (1000 milliseconds).

Not sure what you mean by week ... years can begin mid-week and end on a fractional week ... so what constitutes week 1 ?

Also, are you looking to count down from (say) 2025, 11, 28  14:11:34 to (say) 1987 04, 11 01:47:39 ? ... I know this is a bad example since it will take over 38 years to run !!
