Introducing WebComponentManager: Empowering Web Component Reusability

VisualNEO Web features a powerful tool called "Web Components", but its potential remains vastly underutilized due to a lack of understanding about its functionality and purpose.

In essence, Web Components are reusable objects that offer immense flexibility in web development as they can include predefined design and programming scripts.

If you navigate to the "Tools" menu, you will find a handy application called "WebComponentManager." This tool serves the purpose of saving and loading Web Components, functioning as follows:

Imagine you have multiple objects on a page that you want to reuse in another project. Here's how you can achieve it:

  1. Select the desired objects.
  2. Copy them to the Windows clipboard (Ctrl-C or Edit > Copy).
  3. Once in the clipboard memory, you can use the WebComponentManager to save them into a file.

Additionally, you can perform the reverse process:

Utilize the WebComponentManager to load a previously saved file into the Windows clipboard memory. Then, simply select the page or container where you wish to paste them and press Ctrl-V or Edit > Paste.

Excitingly, in the upcoming version that we are currently working on, VisualNEO Web will introduce an online repository of Web Components. These components can be conveniently browsed by categories and through a search function.

The primary objective is to encourage the reuse of Web Components, not only limited to your own creations but also to leverage the vast collection of components available in the future in the online repository. Users will have the option to download them or directly copy them to the clipboard for immediate use.

With this enhanced functionality, VisualNEO Web aims to revolutionize web development by empowering users with a comprehensive set of reusable Web Components, facilitating efficiency and promoting collaborative creativity.

Stay tuned for the upcoming version, and unlock the full potential of Web Components with VisualNEO Web :)

Meanwhile, it would be awesome if anyone wants to collaborate sharing their own Web Components to be published in the online repository. You can ask right here if you want information about how to collaborate.

Thank you very much in advance!

This would be very useful! As a relatively new user of VisualNEO Web, I have yet to get to the point of reusing my own objects and code as "components", but this does sound exciting.

Hi @luishp

To tell you the truth i tried once to see how its working, i didn't see any result and i quit. I like the idea of online repository, will be excellent to know that you can share and find parts of code that you are interesting. To extend the idea, it could be useful if you can share and retrieve online (neoapp) files and save them locally as soon you open them, cause some times the objects are connected with subroutines or events. Of course if there is a nice page design on repository you could have information about the app, pictures and of course can anyone share their app after validation from admin, to cut useless content.

Bravo Lui..
