I’m excited to announce a complete overhaul of our VisualNEO Web Plugin Generator (beta). We have moved away from our legacy Delphi-based architecture to a modern, faster, and more robust system designed specifically for the future of VisualNEO Web development.
What’s New?
1. Integrated AI Assistant The new version features a built-in AI Assistant specifically trained to help you write plugin code, debug logic, and suggest improvements. It's like having a senior developer sitting right next to you!
2. Cloud Storage & Syncing All your plugin projects are now saved in the cloud. This means you can access your work from any machine just by logging in. Your code is safe, backed up, and ready whenever you are.
3. Modern Web App (WebView2/Chromium) Compiled using Pure Basic, automatically updated.
4. High-Speed "Chunked" IPC We’ve implemented a custom Industrial-Grade Chunking Protocol to transfer large binary payloads between the web UI and the native file system, overcoming the standard 2MB limits of WebView2.
5. Seamless IDE Injected Hot-Loading Hit compile, and your plugin is instantly injected into the running VisualNEO Web IDE using low-level Windows messaging as you were used with the old plugin generator. No restarts required!
How to Access (Public Demo)
You can start testing the power of the new Generator today! Download and unzip the attached file. Use the following credentials to access the public demo:
- Username: demo
- Password: demo
Want your own private account?
I am looking for experienced plugin creators who want to move their projects to this new beta platform with a dedicated private account. If you have experience building VisualNEO plugins and want to take advantage of the AI and Cloud features, please get in touch with me directly to set up your personal credentials.
Technical Foundation
The software is powered by a highly optimized PureBasic native host (DPI-aware and lightweight) combined with a modern web frontend, ensuring the perfect balance between web flexibility and native power.
Let me know what you think!
Happy coding!

i didn't find the time to play with it, but i have some suggestions.
1) Add Light theme because i cant see anything clearly.
2) Security issues, when a user save he's work on the cloud, where those data are saved ? Give the user the option to save locally he's work OR in the cloud.
3) When you double click on an action would be nice to automatically get transfered to the function the code is.Thats all for now. When i have time, i will check intensely.

This is interesting, I'll try to rewrite my plugins into demo.
Это интересно, попробую свои плагины переписать в demo

@smartmedia this is a cloud solution. Everything is stored in a database. You can also download the source file. Note that you can have your own unique account instead of the shared "demo" one (just ask me).
Thank you for your feedback!

Quote from no1g8tor96 on June 1, 2026, 10:19 pmI was hoping you can also give us an update on the future of VN Web. I know you said we were getting a new version this summer but many some hints on whats coming and whats going to be new. Almost 8 Months since current. I look forward up your updates and it gets better and better.
Are we getting a new UI based on what we see with the plugin generator?
Thanks Luis

Quote from luishp on June 2, 2026, 9:24 am@no1g8tor96 Thank you for asking, and also for your continued interest in VisualNEO Web.
You are right: it has been a while since the last public update. VisualNEO Web is still very important to me, but during the last months I have had to split my development time between several demanding projects, including Live Aula, which is also built using many ideas and technologies closely related to VisualNEO Web.
The good news is that this work is not disconnected from VisualNEO Web. Some of the improvements, experiments and interface ideas I have been developing there can also help shape the next stage of VisualNEO Web.
Regarding the UI: yes, the new plugin generator gives a good hint of the direction I would like to follow. A cleaner, more modern and more productive interface is definitely one of the things I want to improve. I also want to focus on making VisualNEO Web easier to extend, easier to maintain, and better adapted to current web development needs.
I prefer not to announce a fixed release date until I am sure I can meet it, but VisualNEO Web is not abandoned. I know many users are waiting for news, and I will try to share more information as soon as I have something solid enough to show.
As many of you know, the market has changed a lot recently, especially with the rise of AI-assisted coding tools. That makes it even more important to think carefully about the future direction of VisualNEO Web, instead of releasing changes just for the sake of releasing something.
Thanks again for your patience and support.
