@rcohen

You are more then welcome, hope I help just a little :-)

I owe you anyẃay because of you I meet (unfortuatelly just virtually) Gerhard aka Gerry who, suddenly passed away...

I was devastating, we have  hours and hours of nice talk about everything, miss him so much....

So, my friend , don't hesitate to ask me for help :-)

Cheers!

Me too @dglojnar.   He passed just before Christmas, but I didn't hear about it until almost March when his wife let me know.   In fact it is my belief that she waiting to turn off his skype until she DID tell me.

Gerhard will most certainly be missed.

Hi,

When i run it, an error message pops up.

Uploaded files:
  • You need to login to have access to uploads.

@mbpitt

OK, before you can start a PUB did you look at button properties as I recommended ?

Steps:

  • load PUB
  • right click on button
  • select actions
  • you see 4 actions - 3 is SetVar - a temp variable values, and last is a dgPrintAt
  • DO NOT CLICK ON dgPrintAT, just look in action editor if the variable values OK, seems like somewhere exists variable as 22,0 - have to be 22
  • Click on dgPrintAt open a command own setup/edit window
  • start PUB and check debugger to see a values of variables

At my machines - Windows 7 Ultimate / windows 10 Pro - all work without problem, so I made a new archive you can download and check.

Uploaded files:
  • You need to login to have access to uploads.

Also compiled version on both machines work without errors....

What Windows you use, looks like Windows 10?

Or Windows 8/8.1 ?

sorry, still not following the instructions.....maybe lost in translation -not sure (sorry)

Still throws same error message up.

This is what my screen shows

By the way, using Windows 8

@mbpitt

This is a complete action - if you can move slider on the bottom of the action window, you have to see complete action as below.

dgPrintAt "1;Arial,8,Regular;;22,0;7,7;|[pubdir]logo.jpg;21,2;45,0;[Racenumber];21,2;51,9;[Horsenumber];21,2;59,3;€ [pounds];20,4;65,4;[Playername];20,4;72,8;[datelong];"

I don't know what I can say - I try in 4 different computers with Window 7 32/64, Windows 10 64, Windows 8.1 64 - no problem at all, runtime and compile version, so, maybe you doing something wrong ?

I don't have any other explanation, sorry...

If you want we can communicate via TeamViewer so I can see then what is going wrong...but I can't simplified whole process more.

So, I'm in Germany, now is 9 p.m, so we can make this way if you want...

Cheers!

Cheers!

@mbpitt

Just curious - do you have previous experience with Neobook/VisualNeo Win ?

Hi, yes I do have experience with Neobooks

Maybe try the Team Viewer.......

When is the best time?

@mbpitt

Now it's a 11:20 in Germany, how about 12:00 , so in 40 minutes?

I use TeamViewer 15.22.3.

Send me your ID and password on my mail - mikaari001@gmail.com.ee yo

See you :-)

Your TeamViewer has to be same version, 15.xx :-)

Or we can talk via Skype / Google Hangout if it's easier for you ?

Let me know what fits better for you !

I just saw - mikaari001@gmail.com is real address, sorry...

Hi @rcohen,

PowerBasic & NeoThinBasic has a very very very robust print engine LPrint (Line Print) and XPrint (Driver dependant Print)

Take a look of this links:

Thank you @daviddeargentina

Martin and I narrowed it down to the thermal printer / driver limitation.  He will be obtaining a non thermal printer soon to solve the problem.  It prints just fine to standard printers.

re: thinbasic, I am not a coder, but rather a graphics guy in a dev world.  I could never do software without Visual Neo.  And so I'm personally restricted to that which is either in the core or in a plugin that is simple to use.   But I appreciate at least knowing that this option exists.   Thank you.
