Puzzled by Invalid file format

I am trying to incorporate the RTF component in the Report Designer of DBPro.

It runs in Preview but when I run the program and choose to run the report I get an "Invalid File Format".
The Report is actually a Mailmerge Invitation Letter to an event.  I want to fancy up the letter by using RTF.
Another issue I had here is the RTF format does not allow space between the lines.

It puzzles me.

An RTF file can contain any formatting, including blank lines.

The topic is talking outside the Report Designer.

This does not explain the use of the RTF component of Report Designer.

The Help file doesn't explain how to use this or the HTML component either.

Perhaps Report Designer is not capable of simulating letter with formatting Bold, Italic, Font size, etc. inside a paragraph of a document.

Anyone have an example of what at formatted type of report could look like.

Looks like I have to resort to exporting the data to a csv file and use mailmerge using something like LibreOffice Writer for my letter to look more professional.

Yes, I now recall that the RTF function in the report generator was conceived, but it seems not fully implemented.

Nevertheless, you can create any report with any formatting yourself, without the report generator.

To do this, you can create your RTF document with one of the suggested methods in that thread at the link above.
