tmCalendarPlus version higher than 2.01?

I've been testing tmCalendarPlus 2.01 and I find it's unusable for what I really need. When you use ShowPreviousMonth or ShowNextMonth it highlights the date you select but returns the variable date of the previous or next month date position on the calendar and NOT the actual date selected. This renders the feature unusable.
Too bad too. This would be exactly what I need for a larger calendar than just a popup.
