Upcoming plugin Edge Chromium

Page 1 of 2Next

Over 11 years ago I made my last plugin. I am now returning with Edge Chromium, a browser based on Edge Chromium (Chrome engine), which will allow accessing sites that Chrome accesses, using the features of HTML5, CSS, Javascript, etc., that is, even applications using camera and MIC. A modern browser for Neobook. I am in great progress and in a few days it will be available. I had to adapt the SDK a little bit on Neobook and relearn everything. Gradually I will update each plugin, but it is a long work. Cheers

Looking forward to it bud.

This is awesome! Thank you Alberto!

I managed to use Chromium to make the plugin, so we will have two versions. A simpler one, using Edge Chromium and a much more advanced one using Chromium, which is allowing me to create a very advanced plugin with many properties and methods exposed. For those who just want a more modern browser engine, the simplified version will meet.

Good morning Alberto, what about this plugin? I'm looking forward to it.

A few days. I halted the development beucause my wife got COVID. Returning today. Inside this week, at leat the simple version of it. I will have 2 versions.

There is no rush, health comes first. I hope your wife recovers.

While @albertomeyer is finishing his plugin, David Esperalta has recently released npEdge, a plugin to embed Microsoft Edge in VisualNEO Win. It's quite easy to use and allows both ways communication. I'm just testing it right now.

I just tried it, but it has some limitations. It does not allow to obtain the source code to neobook, nor to execute neobook source code to the browser. There are also no variables to control browser behavior in neobook. It's a big step, but it needs more features to match neobook's default browser.
David Esperalta just updated his plugin, adding 7 new features.

As I said, Edge doesn't expose much to developers, so I decided to follow another path and produce a plugin based on the Chrome Project, which is much more complex. I'm glad David produced this one based on Edge's.

We are still waiting for your plugin @albertomeyer

Yes, still working. Thank you

@ivanes82 I have been able to execute any VisualNEO Win action command from VisualNEO Web.
I have used hpwPlayAction and a small VisualNEO Web plugin I have done.

You can download a complete sample with all the needed source code here:
https://visualneo.com/downloads/neoEdge.zip

Still thinking about the possibilities, but it's a huge step while we wait for @albertomeyer solution.
Regards.

hi,

In Windows 10, the HTML5 program runs easily in the browser. Why do you need Chromium?

Advanced options. For just run HTML5, Edge is enought.

First version on June 01. More than 120 functions already.

@albertomeyer I'm really impatient to see what you have achieved!

Yes. Hope you like. I will have a Edge too, but later. Priority is Chromium. I have 3 new plugins in development and a few updates on older ones.
