VisualNeo Win won't start up on WIndows 11

hello,

would anyone know why my VisualNeo Win will not start or load on my windows 11 machine? I have used VisualNeo Win on windows 10 operating system, but once i upgraded to 11 it completely stopped. i have unistalled and reinstalled  numerous times. i have ran in compatibility mode, nothing i know to do seems to work. any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

That's weird. I have Windows 11 (64 bit) and it works fine.

If you're using antivirus, make sure to exclude the program.

yes i have excluded, and turned off protection to see if that would remedy the issue. it unfortunatley has not. i'm at my wits end as to what avenue to take now.

@shermtech1

Are you installing the program on a local disk? On a network drive (e.g. OneDrive) the program may not work due to security policies.

i am installed in local disk, program files (x86), VisualNeoWin,

It is difficult to imagine the reason. Try installing to the "My Documents" folder instead of the system drive (sometimes the system folders are overprotected by the operating system).

thank you for any and all your help. i did as you suggested and unfortunatley that did not work. this is truly a strange issue. i have not had any issues installing other software. i even tried downloading the trial of visualneo web and that did not start up either.

We can assume an error in the Windows update. Is it possible to roll back the Windows update and then update again?

i honestly wouldnt even know which update or how far back to go for update installs. i do know that this has been an issue even as much as to say about five months or so back. i just recently tried again just to see if  possibly something corrected on its own, such as you said an update or whatnot. i do miss using this software so i figured i would try again diligently this time. it is frustrating unfortunately.

Yes, I can't imagine a computer without VisualNEO Win either! What is it for, then? ))

If you've tried installing as administrator, it's probably a bug in the operating system. Probably the radical remedy would be to reinstall the whole Windows from scratch.

so my next logical step is to try to install on my home pc with win 11 as well. i will report back either with success or not. i do appreciate your help and again thank you.

if you have windows defender installed, make sure ransomware protection has not activated itself, blocking file read and write privileges on all folders

Check into your computer's Error logs.  Many times there will be hints hidden in there ;-)
