zmJSON

I have been speaking to a talented coder who is interested in bringing some Visual Neo Win plugins to our circle and he's got some great ideas planned.   But he is starting out with a JSON plugin with a stringify function.   It's actually done and the web site is coming together for it.   I fully expect that zmJSON will be available before the weekend is out.

I will post here when it is available.

Cheers

I am told that it has stringify AND parse functions.

Thanks for the great news! The new plugins provide new features!
If it is not crucial for the programmer, I suggest to think about the possibility to replace the zm prefix with another one. The thing is that plugins with the prefix zm was made by Peter Pavlov and can be confusing.

Hi Vadim,

Thanks for the heads up.  I'll mention that to the author.  He has a business of his own using the ZM formatting but I'll suggest that to him.  Thanks again.

This, and a few other tweaks to the plugin are being done.   Thanks for catching that @Vadim.   At this moment we are perfecting the demo pub that will go with it, and working on clarifying the help document as much as possible for the NON programmer (such as myself).

Shooting to announce this before Monday (or sooner).

Cheers

Here's another who is waiting to test the plugin.

Greetings.

OK, The web site for our project is NOT done, and in fact only that one page so far (for zmwJSON) ...   please do not laugh at the Lorem Ipsum state of this site.  We are working on a bunch of stuff and likely this site won't be "done" for quite some time.

But for those who would like to check out the plugin which is ready and in it's first incarnation, I will leave the link below.   I myself am not a coder and am just now learning (trying) to use JSON.    This plugin admittedly is for those who understand JSON and can put it to active work.   We ARE considering the availability of API specific plugins that will be much easier to use.

The author of this plugin, and a good handful to come, is @zmWorks7  He will be offering support of his plugin here in the forum, or alternatively by email.

The page is set up at https://zmware.rcmediaservices.net/zmwjson/    And again, no laughing allowed at our unfinished, frame of a site ;-)

The cost of this plugin is $50.  And yes, it offers a stringify function.

Please allow 24 hours (during workdays) for me to respond to purchases, to send your license code.

Hello There,

Please feel free to ask anything about zmwJSON plugin for VisualNeo Win.

Thanks,

Zaeem.

We haven't had much interest in this plugin and the only thing we can figure is that we priced it too high?    As such we have dropped the price to $25, at least for a while.

If price is not the problem with this plugin, then might I ask for some feedback as to what is?     We are working on other plugins and we hope to get some support for this so we can continue to develop.   Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

In my experience, working with JSON files is not a common task for VisualNEO Win users. Perhaps we don't see the wide application possibilities of this plugin. In this case, a presentation of the problems that can be solved with the JSON format, and thus with the help of the plugin, would help. For example, I don't know what I could use the JSON format for? For what tasks? Nevertheless, I am always very happy to see new plugins, because they expand the potential possibilities. After all, no one knows what you may need in a month. :)

A small observation: when installing the demo version of the plugin (I just double-clicked the plugin file to install it), VisualNEO Win got hung up at the blue loading window step (the list of installed plugins was loaded and zmwJSON was listed last). But after restarting VisualNEO Win works normally.

Hmmm I didn't get a notification for this post, sorry about that.

I didn't even know you could double click the plugin for that function ;-)   I installed it traditionally and had no problem.

I know what you're saying about not the typical plugin for Neo users, but we started there because of the chatter on the forum looking for one.    BUT we have other things planned for that technology moving forward, in order to simplify things and to appeal to those who don't really know about JSON and it's usage.

Thanks @vadim, I appreciate your feedback.

@rcohen

No problem. I am always very excited about new plugins. After all, you never know which plugin is needed and when. Thank you very much for your useful work!

Zaeem is the wizard behind this project.  He's a great talent as well as a very nice guy to work with.

We have another plugin coming in the coming days.... with more planned behind that one.

I'm also having a lot of fun with Alberto's Chromium project, which is coming along VERY nicely.    Things are looking better for Visual Neo every day.

Speaking of Alberto, I noticed his link is not on the External Sites page.  I happen to know he's growing his collection of plugins, so perhaps we should add his resource?

Thanks again!!

@rcohen, thanks for the suggestion. I have just added his site to the list :)
